Sell Reviews With PayPerPost Direct On Your Blog
Friday, May 25, 2007
The main buzz around the blogsphere for the past 24hrs have been none other than PayPerPost new feature called PPP Direct. This is very similar to ReviewMe where you place a badge on your blog to inform potential advertisers browsing through your blog that you are offering paid review services.
Unlike ReviewMe or SponsoredReviews, PPP Direct charges only 10% fee as the service provider where the advertisers would have to pay on top of the published rate set by the respective blogger. This means the price you display is the exact amount you as the publisher will get at the end of the day.
Due to PPP Direct which I have embedded on my sidebar today, I have lowered my asking price of ReviewMe to reflect the price I am selling reviews on this blog for. As you can clearly see, I'm sure PPP Direct looks more appealing to the advertisers.
PayPerPost will also act as an escrow service for both parties and only releases the funds when the blogger have fulfilled all the requirements set forth by the advertiser. One great feature of PPP Direct which their competitors fall short on is the ability to negotiate directly with the advertiser in case their requirements is above your expectations which you might want to charge a little more.
With a Direct Marketplace in the pipeline, I do foresee PayPerPost taking a strong hold of the get paid to blog industry. One distinct disadvantage I see is towards lower ranking or newer blogs where marketability via PPP Direct might not be that appealing to advertisers. Don't worry though cause there is always the ever faithful opportunities marketplace available for everyone to earn that extra money.
